Autism Initiatives Midlothian provide house support/care at home service to individuals within their own tenancies across Midlothian. Their aim is to help provide a safe and comfortable home for individuals who require and benefit from autism specific service. They aim to improve the quality of life for the tenants and maximise opportunities by developing appropriate support and strategies. They do this by providing a personalised service, consulting service users and seeking views and feedback at every stage. They provide a range of leisure, occupational and recreational activities, focusing on supporting the individual to achieve their goals and aspirations. This service supports anyone over the age of 16, male or female.
Autism Initiatives also have an outreach service in this area . This service provides personalised outreach ranging from a small service i.e. a couple of hours to full time. It can support with social activities, higher/further education, leading an active lifestyle, leisure activities, work or occupational activities and increasing a persons independence. .
