The Autism Outreach Teachers service offers support and advice to mainstream schools that have children with autism. This includes: training, support and advice to staff, attendance at relevant meetings, support for target setting, observation of pupils, information leaflets, liaison with parents and professionals and support for Key Stage transition. Referral is made by the school.
