Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic (ASAC)
Main information
Type of service: Diagnostic services
Provides a diagnostic service for children aged 0 to 16 years (or 18 if attending school) and living in West Lothian. Outreach clinic also available at Beatlie Campus, Livingston.
Assessment procedure: Children are seen by a paediatrician and specialist speech and language therapist. Information about the child is gathered from other professionals.
Follow up service: Follow up by paediatrician and /or speech and language therapist when required.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes involving professionals in paediatrics, speech and language therapty, education and CAMHS if appropriate.
