Allison Hope-West is a training provider with twenty years experience of working with young people who have autism within a educational setting. She has worked with young people and adults from age 3 - 30 years and has vast experience of all key stages, including post 16. Allison has provided outreach support for many schools together with training for teacher induction, PGCE students and Educational Psychologists. She has also delivered training to parent groups and care settings. Allison is trained and experienced in the use of many specialised approaches and can deliver training on these in a variety of settings. In addition to providing training Allison can also undertake screening of young people and provide educational assessments, reports and outreach for children with autism and associated difficulties. Advice is offered on specific programmes and packages can be devised for pupils who are struggling to engage with learning, as well as those with challenging behaviours. Support is available for parents in meetings, during reviews and assessments as well as advocacy for children and adults with autism. .

Qualifications: BA (Hons), PGCE, Dip SEN, M(ed) Autism. Accredited Proact SCIP trainer. .

Publications: Securing Appropriate Educational Provision for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, a guide for parents and professionals. .
