I run a driving school for young adults with Autism and Asperger's, based in Chigwell in Essex. Our service is called Autistic Driving School and we mainly cater for students on the upper end of the autism spectrum. We teach students with dyspraxia, dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyscalculia, Tourette's and those with a deep fear of driving. Helping people with learning difficulties is something that is very close to my heart. That's why I'm keen to let more people know that there is a specialist driving school out there that understands their specific needs. We teach people on the upper end of the autism spectrum including Asperger syndrome, dyslexia and driving related anxieties. We teach them: how to revise for the theory test, how to concentrate; how to read the body language of traffic; how to coordinate their body movements; and how to remember things.
