Autistic Spectrum Drop In Sessions
Main information
Type of service: Local groups
Autistic Spectrum Drop In sessions provide an opportunity to meet other parents with children who are on the autism spectrum. You are welcome to come along for a drink and to chat with other parents and staff who work with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). A paediatrician will be available, and will usually be accompanied by a social worker. At some meetings there are speakers on subjects such as diet, education and difficult behaviour. You do not need to bring your child, but if you are unable to organise your own childcare please contact us to discuss whether staff are available here to look after your child. The Information Service will be open, and you are welcome to call in if you have any queries or would like to borrow any books, or just browse. Drop In sessions are held on the third Wednesday of every month (except August), between 10am and 12pm in The Main Meeting Room, Children's Development Centre, City Hospital Campus, Hucknall Road, Nottingham, NG5 1PB.
