Axia ASD Ltd runs diagnosis, therapy, counselling and speech & language therapy services for people with autism and their families, and training and consultancy services for families, spouses and health professionals working with this client group. Axia Asd Ltd was founded by Dr Linda Buchan, who is a Director, along with Calvin Atkinson, our Self-Proclaimed Nerd Consultant. Our full team can be viewed on the 'Meet the Team' section of our website Our diagnostic service is for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as well as co-morbid conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and dyspraxia/developmental coordination difficulties. We also provide post-diagnostic follow-up and specialist psychological intervention. Counselling service: Axia ASD Ltd's counselling service is for children and adults. Approaches: Person centred; and Humanistic. The diagnostic and counselling services are offered in Cheshire. The service also provides psychological intervention and consultation for complex cases. Another mode of counselling offered by the service is Skype. The service caters for all genders including transgender. The private work includes private healthcare.

Assessment procedure: In addition to this a structured developmental history questionnaire is administered and analysed. Diagnostic templlates are based on DSM, ICD-10 and Gillberg diagnostic criteria, with the inclusion of assessing for sensory sensitivities and other features commonly seen but not necessary for the diagnosis, such and ADHD and dyspraxia.
