AYC Youth Club

AYC Youth Group is for children and young people in Oldham who are on the autism spectrum, with a formal diagnosis. AYC allows children the opportunity to socialise, spend time with their peers, develop friendships, and develop social skills such as sharing, turn taking and take part in a variety of structured or unstructured activities. Activities include football and indoor sports, basic cooking, games including PlayStation, and arts and crafts, weather permitting visits to the park, during the school holidays we try go on a variety of outings and trips. Parents are encouraged to leave their children however if the child needs a familiar face around for a short while parents can stay and staff at AYC will work through the transition with parent and child. We are based in the main Building of Newbridge School. Open Mondays and Thursdays 6pm to 8.15pm. Open all year apart from Bank Holiday and Christmas period.
