Bainsford Day Centre

Main information

Type of service: Day services

A day centre for adults with learning disabilities ranging from mild to complex and profound. Offers support with communication, stimulation and all other methods of support required by families, carers and service users. The adults who access the service are predominantly young, and transition support is also offered when young people are coming to the service from school. The staff support several young people who have an ASD, and work closely with the Falkirk Learning Disability team. The approach is person-centred to allow programmes and activities appropriate to the needs of each individual. Referral is generally through Falkirk Social Work services, although they may consider self-referral.
