The name of the unit for pupils with special needs is The Bridge. Depending on their needs, children are given support by Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) in the classroom or are withdrawn for individual 1:1 lessons in The Bridge. All students are fully integrated into the main school. We provide individualised support programmes and strategies to help with anxiety, organisation and social issues. The Bridge has an "open door" policy and all staff are trained and supported and sympathetic to the needs of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) pupils.
