The Birmingham Disability Resource Centre (BDRC) provides a
range of services to disabled people and their support networks living in
Birmingham including general information and advice, counselling, support
groups and activities and employment preparation. BDRC also provides a range of
products and services to support voluntary and community sector organisations,
employers and businesses including: access audits, training on disability
awareness, disability equality and legal obligations under the Disability
Discrimination Act; consultancy services including assistance with recruitment
and selection, writing policies and procedures and producing accessible
leaflets and publications. Help at Home is a brand new service launched by The
Disability Resource Centre. Our aim through Help At Home is to support people
who are unable to carry out a multitude of domestic tasks because of
disability, age or illness, to live independently in their own home. We offer:
Domestic Cleaning; Laundry and ironing; Shopping and Befriending; Garden
Maintenance; Dog Walking and Pet Care; Decorating; Window Cleaning; Accompanied
Hospital Visits; and much more. Our staff are police checked, fully trained
caring individuals and our prices are very competitive. Enquiries are welcome from
Individuals, Social workers, general practitioner's (GP's) hospitals, carers
