This is a primary aged special school which caters for pupils with severe and complex needs. There are 2 classes to specifically meet the needs of pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped CHildren (TEACCH) principles and incorporating other interventions and approaches such as Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Intensive Interaction. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. Other interventions, approaches & programmes offered by the school are hippo therapy and signalong. Other extra curriculum activities offered by the school are summer holiday club, after school cookery club, sibshop, lunchtime sports clubs, educational community visits, trampoline and rebound clubs and football club.
