I am a speech and language therapist with 10 years of experience working with autism. I provide specialist assessment working alongside other professionals and using a combination of tools including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), standardised language assessments and observation of the individual. In terms of intervention, I have a wide variety of skills and hold qualifications in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH), Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support (SCERTS), Intensive Interaction (Co-ordinator), Narrative Therapy, Elklan, Derbyshire Language Scheme and Talkabout social skills training. I am experienced using all of these approaches in a range of settings. I can provide independent expert reports, and am able to visit clients in their homes or schools etc. I've now got The Open University's Autism in the 21st Century qualification.
