Type of service: Diagnostic services, Child Development Centres (CDC)
Assessment procedure: Initial single consultant/senior paediatric assessment with onward referral to colleagues in team. In complex cases multi-disciplinary assessment arranged bia monthly MDA clinic specific to communiction disorders.
Follow up service: Yes, in child development clinics/child and family unit.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes; 2nd tier Communication Disorder Clinic where diagnosis unclear or parents request second opinion professions involved: clinical psychology, psychiatry, paediatrics, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy.
