Starting from the summer holidays 2013, this 12 month pilot is for families living in the City of Bristol who have children with disabilities, special needs and life-limiting conditions. This offers parent and carers FREE access to transport for short breaks. You can use: Accessible cars with or without a driver; Accessible minibuses with a driver and Minibus driver training (MIDAS) so in future you or your organisation can drive a minibus..
It's simple and straightforward:.
- Plan your trip and passengers' needs, then contact the scheme at least one week in advance.
- Call 07914 320540 on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9.30am to 1pm and Bristol Parent Carers will set you up as a member, let you know if the scheme can help, and take your booking.
- Bristol Community Transport will then contact you to discuss all the details so that the vehicle and arrangements suit you, and will confirm your booking.
Bristol Community Transport offer a wide range of vehicle types adapted to accommodate different disabilities. All their drivers are CRB/DRB checked. They will happily discuss your needs with you. Bristol Parent Carers will handle your enquiry efficiently and confidentially. .
