Broadwater School is situated between Godalming and Guildford in Surrey. It is a co-educational comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 16 years. The school buildings are modern and well equipped and are situated in spacious grounds with extensive sports facilities. The school has a vigorous role in the local community and students come from many local junior schools. The pupils can go on from Broadwater School to further education and training at a range of local colleges. Most pupils are educated in mixed groups in the mainstream with teaching assistant (TA) support and withdrawal where appropriate. Students in The Specialist Language Unit are withdrawn from mainstream for social skills, English, Maths and Humanities subjects. They are also supported in mainstream classes. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils subject to a police check.
