Located in the Kielder Water & Forest Park, Calvert Trust Kielder is a location for adults and children with a wide range of disabilities, their family and friends to participate in adventurous outdoor activities. Choose from a range of holiday packages or simply visit for the day. Packages include: adult respite care and fully inclusive activity holidays and if activities are not your thing then choose a stay in our home from home fully accessible self-catering lodges. Self-catering guests are also able to book into the activities if they wish. Activities available include sailing, high-ropes, archery, king-swing, canoeing, climbing, laser-clay shooting plus many more. Guests have use of the hydrotherapy pool and sensory room. Centre facilities include, dining room, TV lounge, bar and gift shop, communal lounge and a computer area with internet and Wi-Fi access. Set in Kielder Water and Forest Park, the centre was purpose built to accommodate people with a wide range of disabilities, their families and friends. Guests can take part in activities which include: sailing, canoeing, climbing, abseiling, archery and swimming. Instruction and equipment are provided. Ten self-catering lodges are also available. In addition to the above the Calvert Trust is registered for respite care offering caring care to individuals over 18 years of age. The service is a North East England Tourism award winner.
