Cambridge Park is a special school catering for a range of pupils with special needs including autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). The name of the unit for children with ASD is the ASD Resource Base. There are 2 resource bases assigned to specific pupils with ASD aged 3-16 years. There is an outreach service to Local Authority (LA) schools, families and other services in the area. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. The school uses the Structure, Positive (approaches and expectations), Empathy, Low arousal, Links (SPELL) framework. The school is in the process of extending its caters for age range from 4 to 16 years to 3 to 19 years.
