Families using this service may need to request a DBS check as Care.com, not being a recruitment agency, does not run these checks themselves. Users looking for carers of people on the spectrum will need to search carefully for providers who list autism awareness training, and/or experience of working with children on the autism spectrum, along with autism knowledge.
