Carers Scotland is the Scottish national office of Carers UK and is the only carer-led organisation working for all carers. It provides CarersLine, a helpline for carers on 0808 808 7777. Carers Scotland's work involves: persuading all those taking decisions affecting carers - in both national and local government - to adopt policies and practices which will deliver real choices for carers; providing information and advice to carers and to workers in the statutory and voluntary sector; campaigning and raising awareness of the role of carers and the contribution they make to their communities and; providing training to workers in the voluntary and statutory sector on topics related to carers and community care.
