Type of service: Family support and information services
Carers Support West Sussex provides practical and emotional
support to all carers. Our service includes Carer Support Workers who
can provide individual support and information on our Carer Wellbeing Fund. We
also have Specialist Support Workers who can offer practical and
emotional support to help carers in their caring role including: mental health,
learning difficulties, autism and Asperger syndrome, parent carers, young
adult carers and dementia carer wellbeing workers. . Emotional support service offering carers:
Counselling sessions, telephone call back service and access to low cost
complementary therapies. . Information: We can provide local and national
information on services, carer's rights, benefits etc., a free newsletter and a
website with helpful information and links to other organisations. . Events and activities: including workshops,
support groups, skills training and social events. . Referral process: Carers and health professionals can
refer by simply calling or emailing us. Volunteers may be accepted to work with
service users..
