Type of service: Family support and information services

We are an independent charity working with and for carers and parent carers who live in the borough of Spelthorne. We continually develop the services, which we can offer to our carers, in order to help improve their lives. We do this in a number of ways including, having support groups, such as ADHD/ADD; ASD; and Aspergers. Carers Support Spelthorne (CSS) organises information and training days and is able to help with the completion of benefit forms. The support workers can attend joint meetings with professionals, with or without the carers, and act on their behalf as an advocate. CSS send out newsletters every quarter to all the carers on the database.
