Type of service: Day schools, Schools

Most students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are in mainstream classes with differentiated work and classroom support. Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) are in place which give teachers and teaching assistants guidance and students targets to work on and achieve. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. They must have a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) or be supervised at all times. Pupils living outside the United Kingdom (UK) may be accepted if apply. Other interventions, approaches and programmes offered by the school are external services such as physio, occupational therapy come into school as outreach.
