Castle Hill High School is a day special school for students aged 11 - 18 with general and complex needs. The most recent Ofsted inspection in 2013 judged the school to be OUTSTANDING in all aspects.The school moved to its new site at The Fairway, Offerton in September 2014. The accommodation and learning resources here are maintained to a very high standard. It has purpose-built science, food technology, design technology, vocational, computing and art areas plus a sixth form facility for 24 students. The sports facilities include a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), gym and extensive playing fields. The school also has links with the Stockport Music Service and access to some of their excellent facilities. Students have their own indoor and outdoor recreational areas including common rooms, café and outdoor play/relaxation areas. Students' special needs are supported by the regular involvement of the Education Psychology Service, Services for the Sensory Impaired and the Local Heath Trust (speech and language therapy, school nurse and both occupational therapy and physiotherapy) and Services for Young People. Students on the autistic spectrum are supported by our Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) Hub team. They also have an Inclusion/Behaviour Team who support students throughout the school in terms of access to the curriculum and behaviour management.
