Complex cases seen in communication disorder clinic - DISCO with parents, school /nursery visit, observation/assessment by speech therpaist and psychologist, then diagnostic consultation followed by feedback to family and report for all concerned.
Follow up service: Yes, as aprt of NHS Child Development Team services.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, professions involved: clinical psychology, paediatrics, speech and language therapy, can be referred to psychiatry if needed, can also be referred to occupational thereapy, physiotherapy for associated co ordination problems.
