Child Assessment and Treatment Service (ChATS) provide assessments of autism for children and young people aged between 5 and 18 years in Hampshire and Berkshire. We offer multidisciplinary assessments and work closely with young people and their families to agree recommendations following assessments, whatever the assessment outcome. Recognising that the process of assessment is often a stressful time we aim to complete all face-to-face aspects of our assessment, including conclusions regarding outcome, on the same day, wherever possible..

Assessment procedure: Diagnostic tools used are: Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) and Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R).

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Clinical Psychology and Mental health nurse/specialist neurodevelopmental nurse.

Age: From age 5 to 18
