Assessment procedure: Pre-school: detailed early developmental check list, nursing report if available, observation of attention, listening, play skills, social skills and speech and language skills, speech and language therapy assessment and examination. School age children: as above, and sometimes Asperger syndrome diagnostic interview questionnaire and DISCO, SDQ, school report, and sometimes school or nursery visit.
Follow up service: Yes: speech and language and paediatric.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes: Professions involved are paediatrics and speech and language therapy.
