Type of service: Diagnostic services
Services are provided for the North Derbyshire area. Assessments are also carried out at Chesterfield and sub bases in Dales Childrens Centre, Newholme Hospital Bakewell and Buxton Health Centre.
Assessment procedure: Appointments with the child (clinic and/or home), school/nursery visits, specialist ADOS clinic as needed.
Follow up service: Yes. Clinical Psychology support following diagnosis and early intervention work.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, professions involved: Clinical psychology, paediatrics, speech and language therapy, Educational psychology, specialist pre-school Teachers, Nursing.
