A community children's occupational therapy service which provides occupational therapy to children aged 0-18. Referrals can be accepted via health professionals, school or self/family referral. Children seen have physical and or developmental difficulties. The service provides advice and/or treatment if appropriate, and sees children in their home or educational setting. It provides advice to carers, parents and/or educational staff on ways of increasing independence with identified everyday tasks. Children with autism spectrum disorder are seen when they have a co-morbid coordination disorder. The service is linked with other community based health services. The service can provide independent expert reports.
