Choices For Life
Main information
Type of service: Day services, Outreach
Choices For Life provide community opportunities for adults and a learning disability and/or autism spectrum disorder. Fully trained Personal Assistants can provide 1:1 support to achieve agreed outcomes including support for volunteering, college support and life skills or leisure activities. Whilst the majority of activities are carried out in the local community our easily accessible bases offer modern spacious facilities where service users have the opportunity to enhance their life skills. For service users who choose to stay at the base, there is plenty to do, surf the net on accessible computers, socialise with others, play on games consoles, relax in the quite areas, listen to music and have access to a kitchen where a choice of drinks are readily available.
Service user participation is paramount and all timetables are individually designed with service user advocacy promoted at all times. As well as the facilities available onsite, offsite facilities which service users can access include: farm, outdoor play and sports facilities, stables, swimming pool, yoga, shopping, cycling, bowling, games club, pub and recycling. Referrals via Social Services and self-referrals accepted. Volunteers may be accepted to work with service users.
