Christie House supports adults with learning disabilities, who may also exhibit challenging behaviours or interactional challenges, ADHD or other syndromes. We provide accommodation, activities, community access and support for up to four residents in a purpose built home offering spacious living areas. We offer a specialist residential and day care service for adults who may be preparing to move into adult services for the first time, or moving to more appropriate purpose built accomodation. Christie House has been designed to offer flexibility to residents, facilitating their personal growth and development in a structured learning and therapeutic environment. Christie House's aim is to provide structured and intensive support, providing up to 2:1 staffing level. We offer a highly staffed, needs-led service for individuals diagnosed with severe learning disabilities and/or dual diagnosis challenging behaviour/autism spectrum disorder, ADHA, and other syndromes.
Christie House opened September 2009 and we are keen to embrace a multi-disciplinary approach in the home, in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people that we will support and we welcome involvement in the development of our latest service from parents, social services and other multi-disciplinary / agency organisations.
