Type of service: Respite and short breaks

Christopher's Cottage is a residential respite facility for young people with a variety of special needs and learning difficulties. It is a unique provision within the Southend area. The provision offers an opportunity for these young people to develop social and independent life skills. In addition the provision offers a wide range of social and leisure activities. They are encouraged to try new activities and have the ability to make choices with activities at least twice a day. Volunteers are accepted to work with service users.
