Clervaux operates as a satellite of Freeman College and offers places to young people with complex learning and behavioural difficulties, mental health issues, complex social needs and autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) including Asperger syndrome. Operated by Ruskin Mill Trust, Clervaux provides unique opportunities to learn and develop through the trust's practical skills therapeutic education method which engages people in meaningful real-life activities. Clervaux provides a rich personalised curriculum to enable students to develop their vocational, personal and social skills to make positive contributions to society. The provision is based on a 100 acre biodynamic farm in Croft on Tees, North Yorkshire and at its artisan café, bakery and shop in Darlington.
