Alastair Barnett offers clinical psychology services to children and young people with disabilities including those with anxiety, attachment difficulties, soiling and toileting difficulties, sleeping problems, sexual behaviour and sexuality issues. He is the Clinical Director of Conatus and a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. Alastair has specialised in clinical child psychology for over 25 years, working in a number of Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services in England. Since 1999 and prior to establishing Conatus Health in 2010, he headed the Child Clinical Psychology Services in Redditch & Bromsgrove, Worcestershire since 1999.
Assessment procedure: Psychological assessment including cognitive assessment, direct interview with child, detailed interview with parents, speech and language, educational assessments and school observation incorporated into final report.
Follow up service: Parenting advice, anxiety management, behavioural advice, advice and consultation services to schools and carers.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, plus Occupational Therapy via colleagues in independent sector.
