CORE Projects provides vocational training and supported employment for young people and adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. We offer a number of projects to support trainees to develop a variety of skills that bring them closer to the labour market. These include CORE News - a newspaper project that goes to print every 2 months, CORE Roots - a gardening project, CORE Sports - a sports project. We will be setting up CORE Bake - to provide snacks and savouries for local cafes and CORE Arts - a performance project. The service aims to meet individual needs through positive support strategies that are based around specific trainee. Staff and trainee ratio is low, approximately 1 staff to 3 trainees. Referral is through social services or directly to us using our referral form and trainees need to have a personal budget. We provide transport for those living in Tower Hamlets who cannot travel independently. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the service users. We accept all religious groups and all food provided is Halal. They also provide vocational training.
