Specialism: Supported living service for young people with learning disabilities and or autism in transition from residential college, foster care or the family home. Current profile of service: Crystal House is a large detached house within walking distance of local amenities. The service has been completely refurbished to a standard and has seven bedrooms plus communal areas. There are three bedrooms on the first floor all with ensuite bathrooms. The second floor has a further 4 bedrooms, two with ensuite and two with shared facilities. In addition to a large kitchen diner with a separate utility area the service has a lounge plus secure private garden with a separate annexe building which could be used as an activities centre. Focus of service: Promoting independence and supporting young people to access further education, employment, social and recreational activities. Person centred transition plans are developed for each individual to develop their budgeting skills and to become more independent in all areas of their lives.
