De Vere Care
Main information
Type of service: Domiciliary services
De Vere Care provides domiciliary care service for children with special needs. The care can take place in the service users home or in the community. A careplan is compiled from the information received when the risk assessment is done. It is decided how many days the care will take place a week and how many hours each session will be. A carer is then required to follow through the tasks that are set out on the careplan. These tasks could be housework tasks so that the parent/carer has time to spend with their child one to one or it could be tasks to help develop the child’s developmental needs. Every three months a monitoring officer goes into the home and carries out a monitoring visit to see that the family of the service user are happy with the service that De Vere Care is providing. The regular monitoring visits gives the service users parent/carer the chance to express their views on the service they are receiving and how they think that it could be improved to help benefit the service user. We provide all service users and their families with the information they need and are always willing to answer any questions or queries that they have. During our monitoring/review visits, we ask our service users if they would like to be a part of our recruitment process.
