Disability Wales works to the social model of disability, which recognises that people are disabled more by poor design, inaccessible services and other people's attitudes than by their impairment. Disability Wales aims to empower disabled people and to develop opportunities for disabled people to participate as equal citizens. Disability Wales is a membership organisation of disability groups and allies from across Wales. Membership packages offer a range of services: access to the Membership Information Service; Disability Wales News; support and training on a range issues; places at Disability Wales conferences and workshops.
