DPHS Fife is a new organisation dedicated to providing advice, information and support for disabled people either living in or wanting to live in the Fife area, and who have particular housing needs or issues. The service is free to people with disabilities and funded from a variety of sources including local statutory organisations. The service works in partnership with other, e.g social work, to assist families to look at their whole options regarding housing. DPHS will consult with each person on the Disabled Persons Housing Register to better match vacant properties with the profile of needs and preferences unique to each disabled person. DPHS Fife is currently running a private sector project which advises private tenants, home owners and private landlords about options like adapting to meet need. We are also building a resource library of information related to housing that our clients can access via our usual contact routes. Accepts volunteers.
