Type of service: Nursery and pre-schools

Dorset Portage Pre-school Support Service provides specialist educational support to very young children with complex needs, along with their families and early years practitioners, where applicable. Skills are taught and practised in small easily achievable steps through regular visits to home and/or Early Years setting. Parents/carers are active partners in the process and become empowered to provide appropriate learning experiences to enable their child to reach his/her full potential.
