Downs Park School caters for pupils from foundation stage to 16 years. We have 4 classes of pupils with an autism spectrum condition (ASC) covering each of the 4 key stages. At Key Stage 3 (KS3) and 4, pupils with an ASC are increasingly integrated into the classes of our 'mainstream' pupils. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. The ASC Support Service provides training to nursery, primary, and secondary schools, Further Education (FE) colleges, and universities. They also provide EarlyBird and general training for parents. Training can also be provided for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and speech and language therapists (SALTs). All trainers are specialised in ASC and 1 trainer has an MSc in Autism and Research. 1 trainer has 20 years experience in working with children with ASC. Downs Park is now federated with Cedar Centre (Complex Needs Special School) and Patcham House (Complex Needs Special School).
