Dr Ann Ozivadjian
Main information
Type of service: Interventions and therapies
Service URL: http://Drannozsivadjian.co.uk
I provide therapeutic interventions for young people on the autism spectrum, who may be experiencing difficulties relating to emotional and behavioural problems. I am trained in cognitive behavioural approaches, and also draw from schema focused therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy where appropriate. I treat a wide range of problems, especially anxiety, depression and eating problems. I typically work with young people within a family context, in that families are often actively involved in the therapeutic process. I regularly participate in continuing professional development training to keep my therapy skills up to date. .
.
In conjunction with colleagues, I provide diagnostic assessments using the ADI (autism diagnostic interview) and ADOS (autism diagnostic interview schedule) which are gold standard, NICE recommended tools. We provide detailed verbal and written feedback; our reports will typically provide tailored recommendations. We will provide further school liaison (or higher education) if required..
.
I also provide assessments of cognitive functioning, providing detailed profiling of cognitive abilities which may impact on school performance or other aspects of development..
.
In conjunction with colleagues, I also regularly run groups for girls and women on the autism spectrum. Details can be found on my website..
