Type of service: Befriending/mentoring, Family support and information services

We support adults and young people who provide unpaid care to relatives, friends and neighbours who are in need of help because they are ill, frail or have a disability. We give practical and emotional support to individuals, organise groups and provide access to alternative therapies, social events, training sessions, peer support, information and advocacy. A befriending service is available to adult/young carers and people with disabilities. We offer have a Young Carers Project supporting children/young people between the ages of 5 to 21 who help care for a member of their family.
