Dysart School is a community day school for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD). The current roll is 71 pupils whose age range is from 4 to 19 years. The majority of learners have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), the remainder have SLD or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Following a re-designation of the school in 2005, it no longer admits PMLD pupils. Some pupils have significant additional difficulties which includes health needs. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
