Assessment procedure: Initial observation at home/nursery/school. Discussion with parents. Obtaining supporting reports from professionals.
Follow up service: Yes: support into nursery/school. Ongoing speech and language and other therapy if required. Development/use of PECS. Invite parents to Early Bird programme. EarlyBird Plus Referral to Contact-a-Familyand other voluntary organisations. Referrals to Child Disability Team Social Services as necessary. Support application for DLA.
Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes: clinical psychologist; paediatrics; speech and language therapy; educational psychologist; occupational therapist; early years teacher; assessment worker.
