This is East Riding of Yorkshire Families Information Service Hub Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice, and Support Service (FISH SEND IASS) (formerly East Riding of Yorkshire Parent Partnership Service). About the Local Offer: Local authorities are required by the Government to set out and publish a 'local offer' by September 2014. The purpose of the 'local offer' is to provide clear accessible information about what services are available in the area for parents, children and young people aged 0 - 25 years with Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND). This is part of the SEND reform bill which aims to transform the way children, young people and their families can access services and achieve their aspirations; Includes information about Education, Health, Social Care, Community and Voluntary Sector, Housing, Transport etc.; Will offer more than just a directory of services, it will be a live and developing service; and Needs to include information about services other neighbouring areas might offer which East Riding residents might wish to access. What will the Local Offer do?: Provide information on support and other provision available for children and young people with SEND from birth to 25 years; Make clear the options that are available at a community level right through to specialist and targeted services for children and young people with more complex needs; and Be developed in conjunction with parent carers and young people..
