Eg (Training) Ltd is a small Independent Practice, managed by Helen Woodrow, who qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 1995. They provide services in homes, schools, residential or day care settings. They also have therapy rooms in Appleby Magna, Leicestershire and provide services for children and adults with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. The service specialises in working with people with Autism Spectrum Disorders and learning disabilities and can also provide a specialist service in AAC (signing, symbols, communication aids and associated technology) and in PECS. Licensed Makaton training is also offered. Communication/speech and language therapy assessments can be provided, standardised assessments and some informal observational assessment procedures are used. Home visits and visits to a client's nursery, school or college are available. Eg (Training) Ltd are now the UK suppliers of TalkTools, an oral sensory approach to feeding and speech.
