Ellen Tinkham School is a foundation school, part of the SENtient Trust. All our special educational needs (SEN) pupils have statements and our ethos is "Everyone will be the best they can be; Everyone has a voice; No-one is excluded." The Hollow Lane Club is a charity based at Ellen Tinkham School. It runs an after school club, Saturday and summer club for children and young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. Volunteers may occasionally be accepted to work with the pupils, mostly students or colleagues from other schools. Other interventions, approaches and programmes offered by the school are person centred approach, sensory processing, specialist visual impairment (VI) and multi-sensory impairment (MSI) support, personalised programmes and total communication.
