Pupils with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are educated in groups with youngsters with complex learning difficulties. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils only with an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB). The teacher-pupil with ASDs ratio in the school varies according to need. Other facilities provided by the school are outdoor learning, Forest School and work related learning on or offsite. Another intervention, approach and programme provided by the school is Somerset Total Communication. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
