Fairkytes
Main information
Type of service: Residential services
42 Fairkytes Avenue is a small four bed residential care home supporting adults who have a diagnosis of autism which may be in addition to a learning disability. The service is fully committed to person centred planning approaches and will work with services, users and their relatives, to actively encourage the views and aspirations of individuals to enable them to achieve their ambitions. Service users' independence is maximised by providing access to local colleges and leisure activities. Daily living skills are encouraged, such as household chores, so that service users are able to lead as normal a life as possible. There are high levels of staffing providing 24 hour support. A skilled and proactive staff team is in place with a registered Manager who provides high levels of support to individuals with complex health and social needs. Referrals from Social Services are accepted. Volunteers with CRB cover may be accepted to work with service users.
